Description A dataset on the number of permanent residents of Lithuania (hereinafter – residents) travelling abroad, the number and purposes of their trips and overnight stays, the main type of means of transport and accommodation used during the trip, travel expenditure, sex and age. Data are presented by country, purpose of trip, type of accommodation establishment, period and age dimensions. Classifications used: Classification of Administrative Units and Populated Places of the Republic of Lithuania (LR AVGVK 2018); Classification of World Countries and Territories. Statistical observation unit: residents over 15 years of age returning from abroad. Statistical population: trips of residents returning from abroad. Trips where the main purpose in the visited territory is remunerated work are excluded. Geographical coverage: entire economic territory of the country. Time coverage: from 2005, annual data.
