| Description | • Assembly points are places where residents must gather. There they will be registered and boarded onto vehicles to be transported in organised, guarded and monitored convoys to safe areas. Specific assembly points in the municipality are predefined in the municipal emergency management plan, but this does not mean that everyone must evacuate only through the reception points. Residents who can evacuate using their own transport may do so independently. Intermediate evacuation points are not always set up – only when residents are evacuated from areas contaminated with chemical or radiological substances, where it is necessary to check evacuees for contamination and remove it (carry out sanitary decontamination). At intermediate points, evacuees from contaminated areas are checked for chemical or radiological contamination, sanitary decontamination is performed if necessary, they are transferred to clean (uncontaminated) vehicles and sent to reception points. If residents are evacuated from uncontaminated areas, movement takes place directly to reception points. Reception points are places where residents arriving by private or municipal transport must go. There they will be met, grouped and escorted to temporary accommodation. In these facilities, vital services will be systematically provided: food, drinking water, medicines, hygiene items, clean clothes. The municipal evacuation and reception commission of the municipality receiving evacuees will organise the provision of these and other essential services and the distribution of received humanitarian aid. Services provided at evacuation (assembly and reception) points include: 1. provision of food and drinking water; 2. provision of medicines; 3. provision of clean clothes; 4. first and emergency medical aid; 5. psychological and social support; 6. maintenance of public order; 7. possibility to inform relatives about one’s location. Data are planned to be updated whenever the data in the State Fire and Rescue Service information system are updated. For questions related to the data, please contact atverimas@stat.gov.lt.
