| Description | This dataset provides statistical information on employment and unemployment and on the number of employed, unemployed and economically inactive persons, and their distribution by age, education and sex. An unemployed person is a 15–74-year-old who is not working, has been actively seeking a job over the last four weeks, and is available to start work within two weeks. Employed persons are those doing any work for pay in cash or in kind or earning income or profit from it. In the survey, employed persons are residents aged 15–89 who during the reference week worked at least one hour in any job for pay in cash or in kind or from which they had profit or income, as well as persons who had a job but did not work during the reference week temporarily. The statistical observation unit is the private household and its members. The target population is all permanent residents of Lithuania. Statistical information is compiled at the level of the country, regions, counties and municipalities. Time coverage from 2021.
