| Description | Description of the statistical information: gross domestic product (GDP) is one of the main indicators of the national accounts system (NAS) that characterises the level of development of the national economy. GDP, its growth rate and gross national income (GNI) are widely used for international comparisons and economic analysis. The statistical observation unit is the national accounts covering the economy as a whole, consisting of different institutional units. The statistical (target) population consists of all resident statistical observation units. Lithuanian national accounts are exhaustive, i.e. all resident statistical units are covered either directly through data sources (surveys, administrative data) or through exhaustiveness adjustments. Geographical coverage: the country’s economic territory. Time coverage: from 1995. Unit of measure: constant prices – million EUR. Reference period: calendar quarter.
