Description The dataset covers trips by permanent residents of Lithuania travelling abroad: the number of travellers, their trips, overnight stays and purposes of travel, the main type of transport used and type of accommodation during the trip, as well as travel expenditure. Classifications used: Classification of World Countries and Territories. Statistical observation unit: a trip made by an arriving foreigner or a departing permanent resident of the Republic of Lithuania during which the person crosses a state border control point of the Republic of Lithuania or the land, airspace or waters of the territory of the Republic of Lithuania. Statistical population: trips made by all persons crossing the borders of the territory of the Republic of Lithuania. All persons crossing the borders are observed regardless of age. Trips made by cross-border workers are excluded. Geographical coverage: all borders of the Republic of Lithuania. Time coverage: from 2007. Frequency: annual.
