Description Statistical information on gross domestic product (GDP) – one of the main indicators of the national accounts system (NAS) describing the level of development of the national economy. GDP, its growth rate and gross national income (GNI) are widely used for international comparisons and economic analysis. Statistical observation unit: national accounts covering the economy as a whole, consisting of different institutional units. The statistical (target) population consists of all resident statistical observation units. Lithuanian national accounts are exhaustive, i.e. all resident statistical units are covered directly on the basis of data sources (surveys, administrative data) or via exhaustiveness adjustments. Geographical coverage: the country’s economic territory. Time coverage: from the 1st quarter of 1995. Unit of measure: indices – percent. Reference period: calendar quarter.
