| Description | The “World Toponyms” website of the State Commission of the Lithuanian Language (VLKK) stores Lithuanianised names of geographical objects worldwide. The data are based on a dictionary prepared and published by the Centre for Publishing of Science and Encyclopedias (MELC). Data have been collected since 2014 and are continuously updated. The dataset includes an object identifier linking its names in the original language and in Lithuanian, names with and without accent marks, an indicator whether the name is Lithuanianised, object type, country, continent, location information and the number of searches, and earliest and latest dates.
