Description The dataset covers trips abroad by permanent residents of Lithuania: number of travellers, trips, overnight stays and purposes of travel, main type of transport used and type of accommodation during the trip, travel expenditure, sex and age. Data are presented by country, purpose of trip, type of accommodation establishment, period and age group. Classifications used: Classification of Administrative Units and Populated Areas of the Republic of Lithuania (LR AVGVK 2018); Classification of World Countries and Territories. Statistical observation unit: residents aged over 15 years returning from abroad. Statistical population: trips made by residents returning from abroad. Trips by persons whose main purpose in the visited area is paid work are excluded. Geographical coverage: entire economic territory of the country. Time coverage: from 2005, annual. Frequency: annual.
