Description Frequencies of ICD-10-AM diagnosis codes indicated in ESPBI IS (e-health) documents, by various breakdowns. The number of unique persons is given for whom, during the selected period, a specific ICD code was recorded at least once in the diagnosis fields of ESPBI IS documents, with breakdowns by municipality and other parameters. Some ICD-10-AM codes refer to medical procedures rather than diagnoses; their frequencies are also presented. The data presented here are intended only for preliminary assessment and are not part of official statistics. Notes: in annual tables, the number shown is not the number of new diagnoses during the year (incidence), as persons suffering from a disease for several years will be counted in each year's total. This number may deviate from the true prevalence (number of persons currently suffering from the disease): diagnoses may be provisional or unconfirmed; a diagnosis may not be recorded in a document if it is not relevant for the visit; diseases may be short-term; there is no tracking of when patients arrive in the country, leave it, or die; a person may be counted in several municipalities if they visited healthcare institutions in different municipalities. Healthcare institutions are assigned to a municipality by linking ESPBI IS with VASPVT SPĮLIS system data. A person's place of residence is determined according to the Residents Register.
