Description The dataset “Riddles with Answers” provides riddles and their solutions (answers) from the Lithuanian Literature and Folklore Institute’s Lithuanian Heritage Information System “Aruodai” (https://www.aruodai.lt/). Data have been included in the system since 2013 and are updated quarterly. Since September 2025 the dataset has been supplemented with new columns that provide more context about the riddles and their informants: uzrasymo_vietove – the specific place (village, town, parish, etc.) where the riddle was recorded; uzrasymo_vietoves_pastabos – additional notes on the recording location, allowing more precise understanding of the cultural and geographic context; misles_pateikejo_amzius – the age of the informant at the time of providing the riddle, offering valuable information for folklore analysis; misles_kilimo_metai – the year from which the riddle is considered to originate (where such information was recorded).
