- {'en': "The museum's areas of activity are to augment the museum collection, ensure the protection of the collection and initial scientific analysis, present to the public the portion of the collection prepared for exhibition, organize, coordinate and carry out the ringing of birds and bats within the territory of the Republic of Lithuania, manage, systematize, preserve and use the bird and bat ringing data accumulated by the museum, conduct expeditions and trips to collect specimens, and organize the reception of fallen animals from persons who had kept them in captivity.
